Our committees are comprised of volunteers from CWN's membership and are at the core of what we do. |
Business Committee
Under the leadership of the Business Chair, the Business Committee is responsible for ensuring that events and seminars are aligned to the strategic goals of CWN and are shaped based upon relevant business issues and trends.
This includes:
- Defining the business committee objectives and theme for each calendar year.
- Driving the CWN business agenda by developing cutting-edge business events and panels that are current and reflective of the greater business environment.
- Working with corporate members to integrate business events and seminars respectively.
- Maintaining partnerships with other networks, businesses or corporate/governmental enterprises that have similar business goals and aims.

Marketing Committee
Under the leadership of the Marketing Chair, the Marketing Committee is responsible for developing and maintainingthe CWN brand.
This includes:
- Responsibility for identifying other networks, business or corporate/governmental enterprises that have similar business goals and aims.
- Defining the look and feel of CWN marketing materials.
- Working with CWN press director to publicise the achievements of individual or corporate members and the network at large.
- Partnering with CWN corporate members to shape shared marketing initiatives.

Membership Committee
Under the leadership of the Membership Chair, the Membership Committee is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the demographic of the CWN membership and facilitating the membership process.
This includes:
- Defining the strategy for new member outreach (including drop-in drinks, new member dinners, etc.)
- Managing the new member intake process including the validation of proposed members against selection criteria.
- Identifying CWN industry champions to ensure the ease of transition for both prospective and new members.
- Identifying and shaping relationships with potential corporate members and appointing corporate ambassadors.

Professional Development Committee
Under the leadership of the Professional Development Chair, the Professional Development (PD) Committee is responsible for developing programmesthat address both the personal and professional development needs of senior female leaders.
This includes:
- Defining professional development programmes that are both current and topical to the needs of the CWN membership (e.g. board pipeline programmes).
- Defining strategy and objectives for each calendar year that are aligned to the CWN objectives.
- Ensuring that there is a balanced compliment of coursework that addresses both the professional and behavioural skills required for progression.
- Identifying and partnering with professional bodies to create value and opportunity for the CWN membership.

Social Activities Committee
Under the leadership of the Social Activities Chair, the Social Activities Committee is responsible for shaping the social calendar for the year and building strategic relationships with individuals or entities that partner with CWN to host events of social value.
This includes:
- Developing a calendar of social events that are networking, dining, art, music, retail, fashion or charity focused in nature.
- Identify and maintain strategic partnerships with external hosts that may extend beyond social value for the membership.
- Work with CWN marketing committee to develop social events that may facilitate marketing agenda items.

Charity Committee
The Charity committee was formed to develop a robust framework around the CWN charity giving strategy. It will present its findings to the CWN membership at the next AGM in Q1 2011.
This includes:
- Devising a mechanism for identifying charity partners for CWN including relationship length and terms.
- Identifying charities that meet CWN criteria (when defined) for nomination.
- Facilitating the process of selecting a charity or charities that CWN will support for 2011.
