Warwick Business School Leadership Masterclass

WBS London – Leadership & Creativity Masterclass

Sparking Innovation: Developing Creativity in Yourself and Others

In an ever-changing business environment, the capacity to be creative as an individual and within a team is becoming more important. In fact, it is consistently identified as a key skill that organizational leaders want their managers and employees to possess. However, outside of a few key roles, such as research and development, most individuals don’t believe they have the capacity to be creative, or that their job requires creative thought. Much of this hesitation is the result of misconceptions about what creativity is and who is capable of it.

Drawing on her own research as well as other creativity scholars and practitioners, Dr. Tamara Friedrich, will address these myths and give practical, evidence-based advice on developing your own capacity for creativity as well as leading others to be more creative and innovative.

This will include leadership at the team level as well as things organizational leaders can do to foster a more innovative environment.  The session will be a mixture of Tamara discussing the leading research as well as walking audience members through example tasks to help practice their own creative thought.
