CWN Webinar - Banishing Burnout

09 Sep 2020
12:30pm - 1:30pm BST

When 96% of leaders experience some degree of burnout, it seems obvious that looking after our wellbeing should be a priority for all leaders and managers, but what does that look like?

Applied Positive Psychology researcher and CWN member, Charlotte Wiseman, will join us to share her pioneering research into CEO burnout and leadership wellbeing. Due to be published in Leadership Quarterly next year, Charlotte has interviewed top performing CEOs to explore their experience of burnout and understand resilience, mental fitness and what this means for leaders and their teams. This offers a unique insight into what leaders can do to maintain their wellbeing and optimise their performance when under pressure.

In this session we will focus on the role of values in this equation. We will explore our own personal value sets, how this contributes to meaningful work and go one step further to explore how this can help us in seeking new opportunities or hiring new team members. Whether you manage a team of 200 or are simply looking to manage your own wellbeing more effectively, this session is a one-off opportunity to get the latest tips on practical ways to improve your own wellbeing and ensure that you are ‘fit to lead’.
