CWN Webinar - In Conversation with Caitriona Balfe

CWN is delighted to announce the first of our ‘In conversation with…’ events, a fireside style chat where one of our members will be interviewing an interesting friend, colleague, or in this instance sister!

We kick off with Hollywood actress Caitriona Balfe, interviewed by her sister (and CWN Board member) Anne-Marie Balfe.

 

Caitriona is an actress, producer and former fashion model. She is best known for her role as Claire Fraser in the Starz drama series Outlander, and received four Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actress in a Television Series – Drama

On the big screen she has acted with George Clooney and Julia Roberts in Money Monster, and most recently acted alongside Christian Bale in Le Mans 66.

She spent 10 years working as a model with Ford Models working with Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana to name but a few and has lived and worked in NYC, LA as well as Paris, London, Milan and Tokyo. 

Caitriona is a patron of World Child Cancer which is a London based charity which supports children with cancer in developing countries. She is based in Glasgow with her husband and cat.

 

Anne-Marie Balfe is the EMEIA Financial Services Talent Leader for EY. In her more than 20 years of international human resources experience, Anne-Marie has worked in recruitment, learning and development, organizational development, performance management and diversity and inclusiveness.

She spent 10 years in Hong Kong and Tokyo, where she was the Talent Leader for the Financial Services Business, and was the Diversity and Inclusiveness Leader for Asia Pacific. She began her EY career in New York in 2005.

Anne- Marie lives in London with her husband Shaun and their two children Cillian and Sophie. In her spare time she is a keen athlete, cycling, running and swimming when she can. 

Anne-Marie is a Board Member of the City Women’s Network, and is responsible for driving External Relations for the network. 

 

Pricing

There is a nominal charge for non-members (a choice between a £10, £15, £20 and £50 ticket price), with all money raised going to CWN’s charity partner, Wellbeing of Women (WOW).

Members tickets are free. However, members have the option of making a donation to WOW by choosing one of the Member 'donation' tickets.
