This session will begin with a look at how can we have less stress and more focus. CWN Events Committee member Charlotte Wiseman will give us an overview of Mindfulness including quick tips that we can start putting into practice immediately. Recent studies have identified that mindfulness practices support individuals in making better decisions, increasing focus, promoting creative thinking and enhancing communication skills. This amazing tool, when done regularly, can strengthen the immune system, improve sleep, reduce stress and combat depression with more long-term effectiveness than antidepressants. Amazing!
After Charlotte's overview, we will be putting you into breakout groups to network with other members. We will not be asking you to practice the mindfulness immediately, but it may be a starting point for your discussion. What other useful tips, tricks, daily practice have you added into your daily routine to cope with the current situation? What aspects of daily life do you miss the most?
